Physical Medicine
Licensed physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists administer therapy as ordered by your provider, when considered necessary for your optimum recovery. Our group of therapists can treat you while in the hospital or on an outpatient basis. They can assist in identifying and acquiring equipment you may need; will discuss your treatment/progress with your referring provider, and will recommend any additional interventions necessary.

Logan Simonson, DPT
Logan grew up in Palmer, NE. Logan graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors degree and then went on to the University of Saint Mary where he graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Logan began working at HCMC in 2017 where he specializes in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation and neuromuscular rehabilitation. In his free time, Logan enjoys spending time with his wife, watching and playing sports and being outdoors.

Audreana Bombeck, DPT
Audreana is originally from Grand Island, NE and currently lives Grand Island with her husband, Jared. Audreana graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 2014. She then graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018. Audreana has experience with treating a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, manual therapy, sports therapy, women’s health and pediatrics. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and her golden doodle (Remi Grace), running, traveling, and watching Husker football games. Audreana and her husband are expecting a baby girl in July.

Paige Wieser, PTA
Paige grew up in Albion, NE and went to college in Lincoln where she graduated from Southeast Community College from the Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2014. She began working at Howard County Medical Center in 2015. Paige enjoys working with a variety of diagnoses in the rural setting. Paige and her husband, Dylan, live on a farm near Palmer, NE. In her free time, Paige enjoys being outside, camping, working in the garden and creating crafts.

Jane Faust, PTA
Jane and her husband, Steve, live in Petersburg, NE. They became parents of two children and now have four grandchildren. She graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Northeast Community College, in Norfolk, NE and has worked at HCMC for 2 years. In a rural hospital setting, a wide variety of patients are seen for Physical Therapy treatment. Jane finds it enjoyable working with all types of patients with an assortment of different diagnoses. Jane’s favorite non-work activities include traveling, camping, gardening and enjoying summer.

Kristin, Trenhaile, PTA
Kristin is originally from the Worms/St. Libory area. Kristin and her husband have a daughter, Emery and they live in Grand Island, NE. Kristin has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in Biology. Kristin graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Northeast Community College in August of 2018 and has been at HCMC since April of 2019. Kristin enjoys working with a variety of diagnoses. Kristin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going camping at the lake and scrapbooking.
Occupational & Speech Therapy
Howard County Medical Center is proud to partner with excellent local therapists to bring occupational and speech therapy to both the inpatients and outpatients we serve. If Speech or Occupational therapy is ordered by your medical provider, our therapy staff will work to schedule the therapy at a time that is convenient for the patient.

Sally Meinecke, OTR/L
Sally lives in St. Paul, NE with her husband and two boys. Sally graduated from St. Paul High School and went to college at Midland Lutheran, where she graduated in 1995. Sally went on to Creighton University with Graduation from Occupational Therapy School in 1997. Sally has worked at HCMC since 2007, after the birth of her second child. Sally enjoys working with older adults. Sally spends her free time with her family, with her two sons being very active in sports. Sally coaches her younger son’s basketball team I the winter months and enjoys spending time outside in the summer months.

Kassandra Knapp M.S.Ed. CCC-SLP
Kassandra and her husband, Mike, both grew up in St. Paul, deciding that it is a great place to stay. Kassandra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2015 and then completed her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2018, both from the University of Nebraska Kearney. Kassandra enjoys working with both pediatrics and geriatrics. Kassandra loves that she can assist her patients in a wide variety of areas. Kassandra has experience treating children with augmentative and alternative communication devices, language, and articulation disorders. She also has experience treating adults with dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, and cognitive communication disorders. Outside of work, you will likely find Kassandra at St. Paul sporting events cheering and sometimes coaching for her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys playing various sports as well.
